NUTRICON Congress 2017

After huge intternational success of previous 3 NUTRICON Coferences (NUTRICON 2014, 2015 and 2016), this event become International Congress. 1st NUTRICON CONGRESS took place in Skopje, Macedonia from 5 to 7 October 2017.

NUTRICON Congress will take place in Ohrid, Macedonia, from 13 - 15 June 2018. As a pre-congress activity accredited trainings in HACCP and Advanced Training in Hygienic Engineering and Design are offered. These trainings will took place at Congress venue, from 11 to 13 June 2018 (discount prices are available for participants who will take one of the offered trainings and who want to proceed with Congress).

Traditionally, this Congress was organized by the Consulting and Training Centre KEY in cooperation withEuropean Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG), Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) and the Journal of Hygienic Engineering and Design (JHED). 

This Conference gathered over 170 professionals from all over the world, working in: Human and Oral Medicine, Nutritionism, Technology, Biotechnology and Engineering who are working in issues connected with food area.

18 selected presentations and 52 posters were presented at the 1st NUTRICON Congress - 2017, on the following topics:

38 members of the International Scientific Committee approved publication on 61 submitted scientific papersAll abstracts are published into NUTRCON 2017 Book of Abstracts and in the CAB Abstracts databaseFull papers are published in the world renowned open access journal, the Journal of Hygienic Engineering and Design - JHED (, and are available in the following databases: SCOPUS, CABI Full text repository database, Food Science and Technology - FSTA database and Global health database

During Congress 2 open sessions took place. First one on: FOOD, HEALTH AND NUTRITION - SCIENCE vs. SOCIAL MEDIA, and second one on the topic of: INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS, COOPERATION and PARTNERSHIPS. Conclusion from the first session is that the science have to accept social medias influence and to fight against non-scientific and misleading advices by organizing special NUTRICON Facebook web page, where regarding: food quality and safety, health and nutrition, only proven scientific fact will be published and where all articles will be referenced by appropriate scientific research. During second session, each participant represented him/herself and their organizations and scope of work. Many of them achieved new friendship, cooperation and widen their network.

Whole Conference had very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, allowing people to network and establish new friendship with people from different fields and cultures. (see Conference Photo Gallery)
